We went to an Eastern European market for lunch, and it has an attached restaurant. It's our second time there. Hubs got the borscht & Hungarian goulash & I got mushroom soup and varenyky. I got a combo of cheese ones and potato ones. Everything was delicious! And I got a coffee mug in the market. It says, "Ukraine is my country" in Ukrainian.

I was informed by work we'd be having a potluck this weekend, and when asked if I wanted to bring anything, I jokingly said I'd make a big pot of borscht knowing everyone hates beets—but the utter oaf I am, everyone said they were very curious to try it.

Now I have to find time to make a giant pot of magenta stew, and then somehow transport it to work. Then they informed me they ran out of places to plug in another crock... Thankfully, borscht can be served hot or cold, but I imagine warm borscht would be more appetizing to anyone who hasn't had it before.
